1 1. Getting   a   good   night’s    sleep   is  very  important  for   your   health.  Not getting
      2.    enough  sleep makes you feel  tired during the day and can have negative effects on
     3.   your health. So what can you do to get a good night’s sleep?
          4.        One   important   thing  in   getting   a    good    night’s    sleep    is    to    make   sure   your
   5.      bedroom    is   conducive  to  sleep. It   is  important  to keep  your  bedroom  dark. Research
    6.    has   shown   that   even   a   small amount   of  light   in   your    bedroom   can  prevent  a good
     7.   night’s   sleep.  Your bedroom   should   also    have   the   right   temperature.  Most  people
      8.   sleep  well  in  a  room  that  is around  18%  C(65°  F).  If  your   bedroom  is   too  hot   or  too
         9.   cold,  this   can   interfere   with  a  good   night’s   sleep.
1     10.       Another   important   factor   in   getting   a  good   night’s   sleep  is   staying   on  a sleep
1    11.      schedule.  This   means   going  to  bed   and   waking  up  at  the   same  time  each  day.  This

   16.                can   lead   to  a  lower  quality   of   sleep.  The  time  you  exercise  is  important.  Morning  and
   17.            afternoon  are  the  best.  If  you  exercise   too  close   to  bedtime,  you  will  make  yourself
1  18.                more awake  and  then  have   trouble   getting   to  sleep  and   staying   asleep.  It  is  better  to
  19.               refrain  from   exercise   3-4   hours  before  bed.

   22.                (a   type   of   fish),   soybeans,   pumpkin   seeds,  cheddar   cheese,  turkey,   and   wheat.
   23.               Combining  these   foods  with  carbohydrates  (bread, potatoes, cereals,  etc)  in  a  pre-
   24.               bedtime  snack,  can  help  you  fall  asleep.
   25.                          You   should   avoid   nicotine  and   caffeine  before   bedtime.  This  means   no  smoking
   26.               before    bed.  The  drug  nicotine,  which   is   found  in   cigarettes,  is  a  stimulant  and  it  will
   27.               keep  you  awake.  You   should   also   avoid  caffeine.  Caffeine  is   found  in  foods  such  as
   28.               chocolate,  tea,  and  coffee.  There  are  also  some  drugs,  such  as  pain   killers,  that
   29.                contain caffeine.  Some  experts   think  that  it  is  a  good  idea   to  avoid  caffeine
  30.               completely  because  it  can  stay  in   your   body  for  up  to  12  hours.
    31.                          Sleeping  well  is   essential   for  a  happy   and  healthy   life.  Not  sleeping   well  can
    32.               negatively  affect   your   energy  levels  and  your  health.  So  if  you   find  yourself   not
